Phang Nga Discovery
Discover the diverse landscape and some cultural meeting places. Phang Nga has not only beautiful beaches, but is also very mountainous in the back. The farmland extends into the valleys to the slopes, you find here rubber-, oil palm-, fruit-, cashew nut- and coconut plantations. Above the mountains you
can still find the rainforest in its original way.
First, we visit a small national park, after a short walk through
the rainforest, we reach the Ton Prai waterfall
with the possibility of swimming. Now we drive to the Turtle
in Thai Muang, where the eggs of the turtles are hatched until they are viable and then released.
Then we visit a temple near the beach, which is surrounded by old casurina trees. The main building is made of teak, with fine wood carvings and the Buddha figures are made of marble. After that drive through the backland until Phang Nga Bay. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
With an all-wheel-drive pickup, we climb the mountain up to the viewpoint Samet Nangshe
, here we have a fantastic view of the offshore islands of the bay. After that we visit the grotto temple Wat Suwan Kuha
, outside there are a lot of monkeys to see live there on the rock. The main attraction is a lying golden Buddha and other Buddha figures in the grotto.
The journey back goes outback to Khao Lak.
