   Bavaria - Thailand 2019-20 - EURO      Bavaria - Burma 2019-20 - EURO

The MV BAVARIA is a steel boat with 28m length and 6.5m beam.
Based on his 15 years of experience, the ship was designed by a diver for diving and has all the amenities that should have a liveaboard highest standard. It was built according to the latest maritime and safety standards in Thailand.

All guests are accommodated in spacious, comfortable cabins with individual air conditioning.
The quality ship has 2 standard cabins (without toilet and shower), 8 comfort cabins (with twin bed and private bathroom) and 2 deluxe cabins (with double bed and private bathroom). The maximum number of guests is 24. All cabins are kept clean and tidy of our crew when staying on board. Friendly staff and delicious cuisine will make for a very pleasant stay during the safari.
On tours of 6 days, the most beautiful and most famous dive sites of Thailand are approached such as the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and the lesser-known Surin islands.

In addition, a 7-day tour to Burma (Myanmar) is offered to the largely unspoiled Mergui Archipelago for a very good price-performance ratio. Every day up to 4 dives are planned in different places. (incl. night dive)
The group size is 4-5 divers per dive guide.

There is a huge sun terrace with loungers, for all that day like to catch some sun rays or want to watch the twinkling stars by night. On the main deck - next to the cabins - are located the dive deck, the galley and additional toilets and showers. The dining area, a small bar and the air-conditioned lounge with an entertainment system and library are located on the bridge deck.

Trip offers
6 days / 6 nights, max. 22 dives
7 days / 6 nights, max. 22 dives (1 day of arrival to Ranong)

We promise that our captain is doing his best to allow a relaxed traveling between the dive sites and the size of the vessel also contributes a sleek and smooth glide over the sea.

If you do not want to dive, you can also get on board and enjoy our Safari as snorkelers or in between relaxing on the beach. As we welcome everyone on board, including those who want to make a diving course at the Similans.

This year Loma Diving Adventures celebrates its 15th anniversary. On this occasion we offer on the following tours in the upcoming season 2019/2020 a discount of 15%:

Itinerary
for example Trip C: Similans – Koh Bon – Koh Tachai – Surin Island – Richelieu Rock
(6 days / 6 nights - max. 22 dives)

Arrival and passage
Pick up in your hotel in Khao Lak around 3:00pm,
Assemble the equipment and completion of the formalities.
5:30pm transfer by minibus to the harbor. Check-in on board, boat briefing and dinner.
Departure to the Similans around 7:00pm

Dive Day one
4 dives at the Similan Islands – we start the first day of our safari with a check dive at the island #4. On this day we will do the other dives at island #7. It’s also possible to step on the beach.

Dive Day two
4 dives at the Similans – on the second day we dive on the best spots of the islands – like Elephant Head Rock – and island #8. Here we have a good chance to meet sharks or mantas. It’s also possible to step on the beach of island #8 with her white sandy beach and crystal clear water.

Dive Day three
2 dives at the Similans – on the third day we’re doing 2 dives on island #9 - the northernmost of the Similan islands - before we cruise to Koh Bon, one of the most famous spots for manta sightings. On the rock itself and on Koh Bon Pinnacle manta rays are repeatedly encountered. The best time is from mid-December to April.
Here we do two more dives.

Dive Day four
4 dives at Koh Tachai & Surin Island – on the fourth day of our safari we’re doing 2 dives at Koh Tachai. The place is known for turtles and leopard sharks, but also mantas and with luck a whale shark is encountered sometimes at Koh Tachai Pinnacle. Afterwards we continue to the Surin Islands where we do the last 2 dives of the day.
Most likely we meet there turtles, large parrot fish, reef sharks, napoleon and many others, small reef dwellers. After the third dive you have the opportunity to visit a Sea Gypsy Village on the Surin Islands.

Dive Day five
4 dives at Surin Island and Richelieu Rock – early morning we experience the wild nature of the Surin Islands and surrounding islets. We start the day with a dive at the Surin Islands and continue to Richelieu Rock, one of the most famous dive sites in Thailand. Here you can find almost anything and anytime, from seahorses or ghost pipe fish to schools of barracuda, snapper, squid and tuna. The rock provides a home for many different species of marine life. Even big fish such as manta rays and whale sharks are sighted here regularly.

Dive Day six
2 dives at Koh Tachai & Koh Bon – the first dive we’re doing at Koh Tachai for the last dive of the trip we will cruise to Koh Bon before we sail back to the harbor of Tablamu.

Weather or technical-related changes in the schedule are possible at any time!

   Oktavia 2019-20

MV Oktavia is one of the largest Similan Islands Scuba Diving Liveaboard ships operating out of Khao Lak. So when we say, “ours is bigger than yours” we really mean it! We restrict MV Oktavia’s capacity to around 20 guests only even though she is capable of holding up to 33 at full capacity. Due to her size, this leaves you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the views of these stunning Thailand Islands between dives.
MV Oktavia 30 meters in length and 6.5m wide, as a result she cuts smoothly through the sea making her a very stable. Our amazing Captain Chow will provide you with relaxed sailing between the dive sites on our Similan Islands liveaboard. There is a sundeck on the top deck of the boat for those who want to soak up a few rays. Alternatively, maybe you would prefer to watch the stars twinkle in the night sky after sunset. At the front of the boat is a seating area with arguably the best views on the boat. This is a favorite place for all to enjoy and chat about your day of Similan Islands Diving while the sun goes down.

The Main Deck
The main deck is where many people choose to relax with a good book or hang out between dives. It is also our main area for all the dive-briefing presentations and where we serve our delicious buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner – not forgetting the countless snacks our wonderful cooks prepare in-between!

The Dive Deck
Heading down a deck you will find the dive deck where all your equipment is stored. It is also where you will be jumping in and out of the water from during your Similan Islands liveaboard. In front of the dive deck is the galley, where the delicious food is cooked, followed by our Blue Ocean Cabins and accompanying bathrooms.

The Cabins
MV Oktavia is designed to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed throughout the duration of your Similan liveaboard Cruise. We have a choice of cabin styles to suit your needs and wishes, so whether you are holidaying alone or a family of five, we have an option so you can discover the Similan Islands in comfort and style.

Whatever your budget and your needs, MV Oktavia will welcome you on board in style, making it easy for you to enjoy the Best Scuba Diving in Thailand with The Best Similan Islands Liveaboard!
ServicesWhen you’re diving in the Similan Islands with MV Oktavia you’ll want to know that you are diving safely! Safety is at the top of our main objectives and so we look after our guests with the utmost care. Worst case scenarios do not bear thinking about and this leaves many people with unanswered questions; except with us. No expense has been spared onboard for emergency equipment. But of course we hope the only time it sees the light of day is when it is being maintained.

Some of our safety features include
Sliding cabin doors for quick and easy evacuation.
Break glass hammers in every room in case other exits are blocked.
Emergency life rafts for more people than we take on board.
Life jackets of all sizes from kiddies through to large adults.
First aid kits located at different areas of the boat.
Smoke alarms throughout the boat as well as fire extinguishers.
A water alarm on the lower deck.
The dive deck is monitored 24 hours per day with CCTV in the captain’s bridge.
Anti-slip mats in the bathrooms and deck areas.
Emergency oxygen tanks.
GPS and sonar equipment (although your captain has more than a decade of experience in the Andaman Sea).
We are a member of the SSS Recompression Chamber Network.

Before leaving on the first day (or for newly arriving passengers) guests are taken on a tour of the boat showing the safety features and explaining the do’s and don’ts of life on board.
We maintain all equipment to the highest possible standards. Life rafts are serviced yearly in October as are all the dive tanks and other rental equipment. Every year, the MV Oktavia is dry docked and inspected in a Phuket shipyard where any possible problems are fixed and the boat also goes through a strict maintenance schedule.

We try to fit 2-3 beach excursions to the most beautiful Islands during our Similan Liveaboard. Each excursion lasts for around 1.5hrs, where you can relax on the powdery sands, play a game of football or volleyball, or take a trek through to some scenic viewpoints.
Our the 4 Day/4 Night trips combine Days 1 & 2 together, taking in the best Similan Islands Scuba Diving sites from each day. The cruise then continues with your 2nd Day following the ‘Day 3’ schedule above, your 3rd day as ‘Day 4’ and so on for the remainder of the trip.

All times and sites are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions.
