   AM Schedule October 2016 - May 2017

The MV Amapon is a classic Thai wooden liveaboard boat. She underwent a general refurbishing in summer 2014 and 2015 and has now 4 comfort cabins, one of them with double bed, with en-suite facilities and 4 standard cabins for 16 customers to be comfortably accommodated. All cabins are air conditioned. There are 3 additional toilets with hot water showers.
Our live-aboard MV Amapon can take you to some of the best dive sites of the world cruising around the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock.

On our trips we do up to four dives a day (incl. night dive) on changing dive sites. The maximum group size will not exceed four divers plus dive guide. And between the dives you will have plenty of time to enjoy the tasty Thai food from our cook, relax on the sun deck or even go to the beach and spend some time on the islands.

3 days / 3 nights 10 dives, Similans
3 days / 2 nights 09 dives, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock
5 days / 5 nights 18 dives, Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock

Since the cabins are on the main deck, upper deck offers so much more space for enjoyment and relaxation, the sun deck with plenty of mats and cushions provides good opportunity to unwind.

Standard Cabin
Aircon, fan, reading light, electrical outlets (220V), shelving and storage space under the bed, duvet, pillows and towels available.

Comfort Cabin
Aircon, fan, reading light, electrical outlets (220V), shelving and storage space under the bed, shower and toilet (toilet / shower), duvet, pillows and towels available.

   Schedule October 2016 - May 2017      Burma Trips 2016-2017      Schedule October 2017 - May 2018

The MV BAVARIA is a brand new steel boat with 28m length and 6.5m beam.
Based on his 15 years of experience, the ship was designed by a diver for diving and has all the amenities that should have a liveaboard highest standard. It was built according to the latest maritime and safety standards in Thailand.

All guests are accommodated in spacious, comfortable cabins with individual air conditioning.
The quality ship has 2 standard cabins (without toilet and shower), 8 comfort cabins (with twin bed and private bathroom) and 2 deluxe cabins (with double bed and private bathroom). The maximum number of guests is 24. All cabins are kept clean and tidy of our crew when staying on board. Friendly staff and delicious cuisine will make for a very pleasant stay during the safari.
On tours from 3 to 7 days the most beautiful and most famous dive sites of Thailand are approached such as the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and the lesser known Surin islands.

In addition, a 7-day tour to Myanmar (Burma) is offered to the largely unspoiled Mergui Archipelago for a very good price-performance ratio. Every day up to 4 dives are planned in different places. (incl. night dive)
The group size is 4-5 divers per dive guide.

There is a huge sun terrace with loungers, for all that day like to catch some sun rays or want to watch the twinkling stars by night. On the main deck - next to the cabins - are located the dive deck, the galley and additional toilets and showers. The dining area, a small bar and the air-conditioned lounge with entertainment system and library are located on the bridge deck.

Trip offers
3 days / 3 nights, 10 dives
4 days / 3 nights, 13 dives
6 days / 6 nights, 22 dives
7 days / 6 nights, 22 dives (1 day of arrival to Ranong)

We promise that our captain is doing his best to allow a relaxed traveling between the dive sites and the size of the vessel also contributes a sleek and smooth glide over the sea.

If you do not want to dive, you can also get on board and enjoy our Safari as snorkelers or in between relaxing on the beach. As we welcome everyone on board, including those who want to make a diving course at the Similans.

Itinerary
for example Trip C: Similans – Koh Bon – Koh Tachai – Surin Island – Richelieu Rock
(6 days / 6 nights - 22 dives)

Arrival and passage
Pick up in your hotel in Khao Lak around 3:00pm,
Assemble the equipment and completion of the formalities.
5:30pm transfer by minibus to the harbor. Check-in on board, boat briefing and dinner.
Departure to the Similans around 7:00pm

Dive Day one
4 dives at the Similan Islands – we start the first day of our safari with a check dive at the island #4. On this day we will do the other dives at island #7. It’s also possible to step on the beach.

Dive Day two
4 dives at the Similans – on the second day we dive on the best spots of the islands – like Elephant Head Rock – and island #8. Here we have a good chance to meet sharks or mantas. It’s also possible to step on the beach of island #8 with her white sandy beach and crystal clear water.

Dive Day three
2 dives at the Similans – on the third day we’re doing 2 dives on island #9 - the northernmost of the Similan islands - before we cruise to Koh Bon, one of the most famous spots for manta sightings. On the rock itself and on Koh Bon Pinnacle manta rays are repeatedly encountered. The best time is from mid-December to April.
Here we do two more dives.

Dive Day four
4 dives at Koh Tachai & Surin Island – on the fourth day of our safari we’re doing 2 dives at Koh Tachai. The place is known for turtles and leopard sharks, but also mantas and with luck a whale shark is encountered sometimes at Koh Tachai Pinnacle. Afterwards we continue to the Surin Islands where we do the last 2 dives of the day.
Most likely we meet there turtles, large parrot fish, reef sharks, napoleon and many others, small reef dwellers. After the third dive you have the opportunity to visit a Sea Gypsy Village on the Surin Islands.

Dive Day five
4 dives at Surin Island and Richelieu Rock – early morning we experience the wild nature of the Surin Islands and surrounding islets. We start the day with a dive at the Surin Islands and continue to Richelieu Rock, one of the most famous dive sites in Thailand. Here you can find almost anything and anytime, from seahorses or ghost pipe fish to schools of barracuda, snapper, squid and tuna. The rock provides a home for many different species of marine life. Even big fish such as manta rays and whale sharks are sighted here regularly.

Dive Day six
2 dives at Koh Tachai & Koh Bon – the first dive we’re doing at Koh Tachai for the last dive of the trip we will cruise to Koh Bon before we sail back to the harbor of Tablamu.

Weather or technical-related changes in the schedule are possible at any time!

WAKE UP
You’ll wake at 7:00am by a gentle knock from our dive crew and some freshly brewed coffee.
Most people stumble out of bed bleary-eyed and get greeted by staff who give you a full safety and dive briefing and help you in to your equipment and get you in to the water.

DIVE ONE
Our guests find being immersed in the warm tropical water is the absolute best way of waking up.

Dive groups are a maximum of 4 people, unless friends request to dive together.

The first dive of the trip will be a check dive so we can check the divers in each group are well matched in terms of ability and air consumption.

At the end of this and every dive, you and your group will surface and indicate to our dingy that you’re ready to be picked up.
This dingy will pick you up and take you back to the liveaboard. No surface swims, ever.

EAT
As with every dive, once back on board, our staff will help you out of your equipment and place it in the racks for you.
You can grab a quick freshwater rinse from the shower on deck and then head up to the outdoor eating areas where a hot breakfast awaits you. Our staff will rinse your gear and fill your tanks while you eat.

BEACH VISIT
After breakfast, we usually offer an activity for the day. Usually, this involves taking the dinghy to the shore of one of the island where you can lay on the beach, snorkel with turtles, go hiking, or just do nothing at all.

Some customers prefer to stay out of the heat and spend their time in the air-conditioned lounge watching one of our DVDs in stock. Sun worshipers may decide to skip the ride to the beach and spend all their time on the sun deck. Others may prefer just to stay in the shaded decks reading or relaxing with the other passengers.

This is your holiday and we wish to accommodate for any activity that you wish for.

DIVE TWO
Dive 2 is at about 11:00am and most people wake for this one a little more refreshed. Dive groups might be reorganized to put divers of similar skill levels together, based on observations of the check-out dive.

Obviously we never split up people who want to dive together.

EAT
Lunch is served after dive two.

DIVE THREE
Dive three is usually about 2:00pm, followed by the entire afternoon to relax or go to the beach.

EAT
An afternoon snack is served at around 4:30 (for any one who hasn’t eaten enough so far in the day!)

DIVE FOUR
For those interested, the night dive is normally about 7:00pm.

For anyone who is not an advanced diver, you can do your Adventure Diving Night training, or even take the full advanced course while on the boat.

EAT
After the night dive, dinner is served and after that some people head straight to their cabins, others prefer to relax on deck having a beer and talking about the days dives and discussing what adventures they hope to have on tomorrows dives.

As is typical day on a four day cruise on day three there is no beach to go to, as the dives are at rocky pinnacles, so people just relax on the boat. This is where having a nice big boat really comes in beautifully. There’s always plenty of room for everyone.

On the final day of the cruise, we only make dives one and two, and return to our pier about 3:00pm. Where there is usually a lot of photo taking and email exchanging among new found friends, and after some goodbyes to each other and to the boat we drive our customers back to their hotels.

- 2-3 t-shirts and one long sleeve

    OKT Schedule October 2015 - May 2016

We will take you on a liveaboard trip to the top dive sites not only in the area, but in the whole of Thailand. The MV Oktavia will take you on a cruise around the Similan Islands and you will visit dive sites at Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock, as well as many more.

5 days / 5 nights, 19 dives

If you don’t want to dive, you can also come on board our Similan Islands liveaboard to snorkel and enjoy going on the beach trips, as we welcome everyone on board including those just learning to dive by taking an open water course at the Similans.

The MV Oktavia is one of the largest ships that explores the Similan Islands and when we say “ours is bigger than yours” we really mean it! She is built to hold up to 33 guests but we want you to feel comfortable, so we limit our capacity to just 20 people leaving you plenty of room to flap your fins.

We promise that Captain Chow will provide you with relaxed sailing between the dive sites on our Similan Islands liveaboard and at 30 meters in length and 6.5m wide, the MV Oktavia cuts smoothly through the sea. There is a sundeck for those who want to soak up a few rays on the top of the boat or to watch the stars twinkle in the night sky. At the front of the boat is a seating area with arguably the best view on the boat and just behind you will find the captains quarters, followed by the two Master Cabins.

Food will be served on the main deck and it is here that many people choose to relax with a cold drink or two in between dives and meals. Heading down a deck you will find the dive deck where all your equipment is stored and it is also here you will be jumping in and out of the water from your Similan Islands liveaboard. In front of the dive deck is the galley, where the food is cooked, followed by the Standard Cabins and accompanying bathrooms.
